We didn’t use the buses on the 3 snow days, so we’re not out extra money by running them on one makeup day. I don’t believe the air conditioning is off in schools all summer. Schools are rented out by summer camps and community organizations, the admin work there over the summer, some schools host in-person summer school. It won’t cost MCPS more money to be open on June 16th than it would have to be open on January 8th. MoCo will lose revenue because because they won’t be able to rent out space in schools to summer camps on June 16th.[/quote]
