So not true. My friend, a pediatric AIDS nurse, told me the story of a typical day for her at a hospital in New York state, where HIV testing on newborns is mandatory. Her job was to sit down with the new mom and tell her, "Your newborn baby has AIDS, you have AIDS, and your husband and father of your 4 other children is dying of undiagnosed HIV that he got from a two week affair he had ten years ago that he never told you about." She went on to tell me the husband/father was now suicidal.

So think about that next time you contemplate your victimless crime.
