When my DS was playing they did. They knew when a coach was watching and made sure to get minutes. All played. They had a roster of about 22 and most played college most are D1[/quote]

yes, there is a mindset to get everyone into the game on HS travel teams when college coaches are watching. the college coaches don't pay attention to who wins or loses when they evaluate players, and to kids who have been playing travel lacrosse for so many years, another weekend tournament win is no big deal.  sometimes after players commit, they will ask the coaches to cut their play time or pull them out altogether so their teammates can get recruited too, which is classy, and also smart to avoid wear on their bodies. (and sometimes they stop coming to tournaments at all). but all that said, the habits ingrained through years of travel lacrosse are hard to break.  it is in the DNA of the good players and their parents to expect never to come off the field, and it is in the DNA of coaches to try to win.  So it probably won't be quite like 6U or 8U when everyone gets equal PT.[/quote]
