I wonder how many Christians of European descent realize that it's only because of Arab cultures and Arab scholars in medieval times that we have today's faith system intact.
Most people of all religions or no religions do not know that Christianity is not a white, European religion.
Oh come on, this is super outdated info. It’s not the 1950s.
Most Americans attend public schools, and they get zero education about world religions outside of a few holidays that are celebrated. Some schools may have a single unit in social studies about non-US history and maybe a week spent on religions. Some kids will take a broader course in high school, like AP World. Many, many live in social groups that are not diverse and never get a chance to travel unless by car, and then its usually to a beach or lake or to visit family.
My school did mention Paganism and Hedonism practiced in other countries. I hardly call anything outside of mainstream Judaism and mainstream Christian religions as actual religion.
Whoa! And what about Islam and Hinduism, which are very major global religions?
