While I don't agree with Haley's stance on abortion, I appreciate her being as thorough, open, and honest as any candidate on either side when articulating why she is pro-life. She has a deeply personal reason for being pro-life but she makes it clear that she respects other peoples personal views on abortion that may differ from her's. You can call Trump a fascist wannabe and that's fair but calling Haley a fascist is just blind partisan ignorance in the same manner it would be for a Republican to call Biden a communist. We're only set back further from a return to political normalcy when being this stubbornly partisan. Haley is unlikely to ever get my vote but we'd all be better off if someone with her integrity was the leader of one of two major parties relative to Trump being in that position. We should all make an effort to distinguish between the good/normal/decent and bad/abnormal/indecent within our party and the opposing party instead of painting all with one brush.[/quote]
If she’s willing to go along with the GOP’s forced birth abortion bans, whether or not she puts a better spoken face on it, that’s fascistic.

Oh look, she’s putting a kinder, gentler face on the policies that would send women back to the dark ages: “As a governor and a state legislator, she supported anti-abortion laws and [b][i]continues to pledge to sign the most restrictive one that would reach her desk[/i][/b].” And you could bet your bottom dollar that she would put more forced birther judges on the Supreme Court, too.

So, no. I will not go along with your attempt to put a happy smiley face on the fire boiling us slowly vs cooking us instantly. I cannot believe that anyone is willing to put a positive spin on forced birther garbage. [/quote]
+1 Haley as Governor of South Carolina actually signed the six-week abortion ban that went into effect after Roe fell. So while it’s clear that she has the best messaging on this issue and it’s fooling some people, her actions when in power show that she DOES NOT “respect other people’s personal views on abortion that may differ from hers.”[/quote]
Uhh.. Haley was no longer governor of SC when R v W was overturned and the ban she signed while governor was at 19 weeks. Nevertheless, she is no doubt a pro-lifer that would be okay with a ban at an earlier stage than 19 weeks because per her reasoning, her husband was adopted and she thinks every baby should have that opportunity. I don't agree with that but I also don't consider her a forced birther in the same way I don't consider someone that advocates for abortion to be legal up to birth a baby killer. I personally think a woman should have the right to choose up to at least 30 weeks and maybe 35 or 40 but I acknowledge that I need to be better educated on the science aspect of the issue before determining my exact beliefs on the issue. I'm pretty sure most of us need to be better educated on the issue. Does the fact that I'm okay with a ban on very late stage abortions make me a "forced-birther"? I hope not. Let's all grow up and start treating this issue like the complex issue it is. It isn't as simple as you're either a forced-birther or a baby-killer.[/quote]
