Now they’re in disarray. They haven’t yet gotten 218 votes for anything in the House, and even if they did, the Senate GOP might not be on board. I think enough of them realize deep down they can’t effectively shut down government when they can’t even agree on what their demands should be. Cutting Ukraine funding is an easy off-ramp since it pisses off the Dems and the establishment Republicans so the House GOP can pretend they got something meaningful. Maybe they’ll deny funds to Israel too and dare the Senate/Biden to cause a shutdown over it. [/quote]
