What "dominant culture" are you speaking of? No incredulity. I was interested in the consensus. In the threads questionioning why blacks are so effed up, I've never heard anyone mention mental illness as a likely culprit. [/quote]

Uh, white culture. In America white cultural frame of reference is dominant. Not saying that is good or bad but that it just is. White culture excuses such an act as mental illness  when committed by a white person. I'm saying black culture presents mental illness very differently at times anyway, and that it is not acknowledged and treated as such.[/quote]
