I think the cops are doing a good job. If they had to do this all the time, they'd have better systems. They're usually not tracking an experienced escapee who already survived the Brazilian rain forest. He doesn't have a phone, so he'll eventually be spotted. Also, he definitely looks white. I know plenty of Mayflower descendants with curly hair
I do not know why I care but as a Brazilian, I can't keep reading this over and over in this thread and not say something. He did not survive the Brazilian rainforest. The area of Brazil he was living in is more akin to the Australian outback than a rainforest. The NYTimes had a whole article about it this weekend. As they described it, "The dusty, wild Brazilian savanna provided the perfect cover for Mr. Cavalcante. Here, cattle ranches stretch for miles, flanked by shrubs and parched forest." https://www.nytimes.com/2023/09/11/us/cavalcante-brazil-escaped-prisoner-pennsylvania.html
So he previously escaped in the Brazilian savannah. Not the rainforest. Sorry. I've never heard of the Brazilian savannah before. It sounds like Africa
