I think you’re half right. I don’t think white men are actually losing their privilege, I think that more people are falling into the headings which have always “justified” white male privilege. We’ve never been so crass as to *say* (at least since the sixties) that Jim is in this job because he’s a white guy, it’s always been 
…Jim went to Harvard/was in my fraternity
…Jim did an internship at _______
…Jim is close to Senior Leader Bob

But now that more women go to elite universities, internships aggressively recruit for diversity (often for the effort to appear diverse by still) and Senior Leader Bob has been getting all these compliments for his mentorship of women, Jim is no longer in the *only* category capable of becoming privileged and suddenly there’s competition for this first time.

Agree. There is much more competition where there once wasn't. I don't know that this is a good thing for men though. Between electronics and complexity and competition it seems like many men don't think it's worth it.[/quote]
