[/quote] Yes 100%. Guns change how people react to situations. The police just shot and killed an innocent man when they knocked on the wrong door. In that case, the man did have a gun. But just the possibility and likelihood that someone has a gun causes people to overreact. People are rightfully worried that anyone could have a gun, so they will react out of proportion to situations and opt for violence. How many people were killed because the cops “thought they had a gun” but in fact they didn’t? If people didn’t have access to guns, things wouldn’t escalate so fast.
