It is. It's so dangerous. I know several folks in their 80s, whom I love to death, who've been brainwashed especially in recent years by Fox news running all day in their home and are terrified of people of color. It's heartbreaking and dangerous. Everyone needs to turn their tvs off, regardless of political affiliation. It's too much extremism all the time and not healthy for anyone at a minimum, life threatening at worst.

This is now repeated times I have seen comments like this. This clearly good person is in a hospital and what even is the difference--the person who shot him did not try to just 'graze him' and the fact that he had to keep knocking on doors? is a testament to human adrenalin. Full stop.
My concern is how more racism and so many 'isms' are dividing us and HOW do those of us on this forum actually do something besides saying, get out and vote.

He apparently collapsed in front of the house across the street where we went seeking help, according to the resident there who called 911. I imagine adrenaline kept him moving for a bit.


He was shot 2x through the door Sobieski imagine the door absorbed most of the impact and Ralph was "only" grazed by the 2 bullets. Still traumatic and painful, but at least it wasn't point blank

Yes 100%. Guns change how people react to situations. The police just shot and killed an innocent man when they knocked on the wrong door. In that case, the man did have a gun. But just the possibility and likelihood that someone has a gun causes people to overreact. People are rightfully worried that anyone could have a gun, so they will react out of proportion to situations and opt for violence. How many people were killed because the cops “thought they had a gun” but in fact they didn’t? If people didn’t have access to guns, things wouldn’t escalate so fast. For police and for regular citizens.

JFC. Knocking on the wrong door or pulling into the wrong driveway shouldn’t warrant a death (or close to it) sentence. Obviously our lax gun laws have empowered nut jobs to freely pull the trigger. We need to highly publicize these a-holes going to prison so their peers feel less inclined to live out their vigilante cosplay.

I agree. I’ve also noticed right-wing media’s doom and gloom propaganda. They’re trying to blame increased crime on Biden/Dems and show them as being “soft on crime.”
