Uvalde brought a bipartisan gun legislation that restricted gun sales, increased background checks, new criminal offenses, etc.  It was not the assault weapons ban that we wanted to see but it's the first gun legislation in 3 decades.  The chaos in the House does not bode well for a new assault weapons ban - but it doesn't bode ill either.  [/quote]
