Has anyone heard on merit for CS yet? DS has not. Can’t remember acceptance date now. It’s been a few weeks.
DC got $5000/yr 2 weeks after acceptance, a little disappointed. She is higher stat than those posted getting 20k
I don’t think anyone who kid received $20k/yr has posted their kids’ stats! What are your kid’s stats? Mine got $10k/yr merit in Dietrich with a 4.0 uw and 35 ACT, typical sports and clubs.
There are multiple in college confidential SAT 1510,1520 received 20k/year also some with even lower SAT received 10k/yr. DD got 5k/yr with 4.0 uw 4.85w (most rigorous), 1580(780/800) SAT All 5 in 8 AP, above average EC with leaderships
Was this CS? Assuming this is out of state but correct if wrong.
Yes OOS computer science
My observation is that CS awards are lower for the same stats. Which makes sense because CS is more competitive from the applicant side everywhere decent. I have a relatively high stats kid that just completed her application this past week, applying to arts and sciences. I will report back on the speed of admission and whether she receives merit at this point in the process. We are in DC so DC tag in addition to some merit would be very nice to consider. Pitt’s continued increasing popularity is impacting both its acceptance rate and the amount of merit of offers. Quite fascinating to witness the competitive process have an impact over a short period of time actually.
