They sought and gained "custody" of the child in 2019, way before the Taliban came back into power. And plenty of people in history have made that same argument you made. For example, how many Native American children were taken from their homes, had their hair cut, names changed, and put in caucasian homes? For their own good, right? It's the same. Genocide.[/quote]
