That is not true. Non-profit research universities are actually responsible. So is the free sharing of scientific knowledge. Profit and capitalism only burdens scientific discovery with patents, secrecy and manipulation in the name of profit. [/quote]

Most funding at research universities comes from companies who hope to profit from specific things being researched.[/quote]

And a lot comes from the government. Socialize the cost, privatize the profits. It’s the American way! [/quote]
