Profit and capitalism only burdens scientific discovery with patents, secrecy and manipulation in the name of profit. [/quote] Most funding at research universities comes from companies who hope to profit from specific things being researched.[/quote] And a lot comes from the government. Socialize the cost, privatize the profits. It’s the American way! [/quote]
