Totally!!  It was bizarre.  Did you hear a friend (the blonde girl) who asked if he was sad? It would have been understandable if he stood in a corner with a few of his friends or walked away. Eh, he was saving face, understandable under the circumstances. The reality is there's little you can do if you're not attracted to someone, even if it is due to internalized racism. Do I think it's weird that this average-looking dad-bod dude is so superficial? Yes, but he's allowed to feel how he feels.
