I don’t think the window of time would make a difference. Parents are in line waiting by 3pm for a 335 dismissal. Letting the time parents pick up be later won’t make a difference to these people. They will wait 40 min to get their child 5 min earlier. [/quote]

Yes, what the school and neighbors need to do is find a way to discourage parents from lining up early. What is wrong with people that they have to arrive so early? I'd much rather have my kid waiting in kiss and ride than me waiting on the street.[/quote]

This is where a call to local police can help. There is a no idling law in VA, and there must be a no obstruction law. Since there is no shoulder, taking up the entire lane in a no passing zone while idling for 30+ minutes must be a ticketable offense. Imagine if a emergency vehicle came along. [/quote]
