How do you propose we hold FCPS accountable for learning loss/"unfinished learning" without a fall test? I'm not trying to be snarky - if there's an alternative that works that isn't testing, great! But at some point, given FCPS's lack of a plan to use ESSR money for real learning, I would like accountability. They have an awful lot of millions sloshing around that are supposed to be used for catching kids up.[/quote]

The bigger question is why was there no consideration for loss of learning that happened in spring of 2020. That full stop in March of 2020 had a huge impact on my high schooler’s education and course trajectory. He’s a rising senior now. Too late.[/quote]

FCPS isn't going to think about the spring of 2020 and I can tell you they're barely going to think about the past year. I can almost guarantee they're going to start up the fall just like every other gear and not look back.[/quote]
