You are right that nobody should get communion -- unless they go to confession with clear repetence for their sins. It's a universal rule that applies to all Catholics. Honestly, I think these issues arise because priests are too lax with communion. They should announce at the beginning of mass that folks should not come for communion if they have not been to confession in the last year or have an unconfessed mortal sin. [/quote]
