My parents are from a country that has collapsed economically, politically, and socially.  These things work together hand in hand.  It didn't happen in one year or even 20 or even 50.  In fact, Trump has expressed great admiration for the leader of said country (try to guess!).  As a somewhat educated observer, I have seen over the course of my lifetime the increasing similarities and parallels between that country and the U.S.  And the casual ignorance and disinterest in the corruption of leaders is definitely a part of it.[/quote]
