OP - buy the house that you love in the neighborhood that you like. For schools, give them a chance and if it doesn't work in K-8 there are less expensive parochial private schools that are very popular with people in SS. For HS wait until your child is older and knows his/hers interests and strengths and then choose the school through the consortium that best fits his/her needs. If you want a high scoring school where everyone achieves close to the top range then move west, Blair or Kennedy is not that school. If you like the idea of a school that offers specialization then the DCC is a good option for your child to take more courses in subjects he/she is passionate about in high school.
