Lufthansa has a doctor on board program that invites doctors to register, so the flight attendants know if a doctor is on board. it makes sense to double check that the person helping is actually a doctor, but agree in this case it was too much checking. I think it would help if other airlines had something similar.

It would help if Delta had fixed this problem, which also happened two years ago.
