Why punish the wait staff if it gets turned over by the council?  The overwhelming majority of professional service workers were against Prop 77 anyway.  There are too many social justice warriors in this town, who by and large never worked a REAL job in their lives, yet salivate to impose their deluded beliefs on others.  [/quote]

Jeff, I appreciate your due diligence!  I am on vacation with my family and your site provides a means for me to keep up with the news associated with our beloved city.  Road food in the hinterlands is generally atrocious.  I miss the high-quality dining we have in DC, and am scared that it is going to disintegrate into plate-drop-off with a scowl, as you see in some European destinations (which I can't afford to visit anymore).  DC dining is basically all I have to look forward to!!  No thanks to Prop 77.[/quote]
