Many of their 08s were playing for their own travel teams this weekend (not FCB).  In the younger years, most of the players were still playing travel with their home Clubs (no conflict because they weren’t in a league this year).  I saw many FCB kids in different jerseys this weekend.  I’d wait and see as more of them are switching to commit full-time next year and check back in a few years.

Why would kids that are going to commit to them full time next year playing for other teams this year instead of FCB?  If I signed my child up for two clubs (which I think is crazy by the way and I would never do) this year, but plan on picking only FCB for the next year, my child would be playing in the last tournament of the year for next for FCB, not the club my child is leaving. I don’t know why you keep coming here to trash them when you appear to know nothing about the Escola and it’s programs.

You have it quite opposite.  Many were committed to their travel Clubs and only doing a day a or two a week training with the Escola.  They only played in events with FCB that presented no conflict with their travel commitment.  They honored that.  So- it makes sense they would play with the travel Club they signed a contract with for the full-year and finish out the season respectfully—not cut and run and leave their travel team short players.  It’s the right thing to do.[/quote]
