That’s what my religion teaches. It’s never taught me I would not be sad, never be sick and suffer, etc. God isn’t about humans living perfectly content and well. Through struggles and pain, and also joy, we learn obedience to God. Through His Son’s sacrifice, we are granted redemption.

If the Bible taught we were to live lives of happiness and perfection on earth for accepting Jesus and believing in God and we didn’t, I could see why people would question God.

But nowhere, ever, had God promised that.

Those who reject God and Jesus, I get it. My daughter is a nurse in ICU and is a Christian. She even questions why the terrible things that happen, happen to us. It’s hard to keep your eyes on the big picture of God’s promise sometimes.

But if you accept God, and Jesus, you know no matter what happens, their love and promise awaits you.
