OP asked about single moms, not just divorced moms. If you are a certain age, you might know that somewhere between 40-50% of single moms have never been married.  I'm not sure what your issue is with McLean, but realistically given how expensive it is to live there it is going to have more high and dual-income families than most places, both of which are correlated with low divorce rates.

There are divorced moms everywhere, but explain to OP how she's going to get by on $70K with two kids in McLean, where most families make substantially more, and everything costs extra to begin with.  I think you need therapy (or to find some divorced gal pals elsewhere to hang out with).[/quote]
