I generally avoid political discussions, but I will never be able to respect any of my friends or relatives who support a man who is clearly racist and derogatory to women. Luckily, my friends are smart enough. My relatives, not so much. Do I call the out? No. because I honestly believe trump supporters are either too stupid or too close minded to fully understand logic or reason.
OP here. I guess the reason I do it is that people post things that are not true, and then they just believe them, and they become part of this mythology about Hillary Clinton. At least if I point out that the story is not true, I feel like I am breaking this cycle of affirmation that people are getting when they post inaccurate articles and just get a bunch of "likes." I have also noticed that when I post a comment, a bunch of other people pile on too, like I broke the ice. There is just SO MUCH inaccurate information posted. I have one Trump supporter friend that I do not argue with, every single time the guy posts something it becomes a huge pile on with 20 people writing "Why in the world are you supporting him?!?!?!" So I don't dive into that.
