I had really thick, kind of wavy hair until by pure chance I had an appointment with a stylist who cuts hair with a razor. She was like "Wow, no one has ever thinned this for you?" and cut away gobs of hair. Then she gave me an awesome chin length bob. No triangle head! Now I am growing it out long (down to my boobs) and it is awesome because when I had my hair like this in college I had headaches all the time from how heavy it was. It was also so frizzy and un-styled looking. Now it's really light with gentle layers. I hardly even use my flat iron any more.

This lady has really changed my life (hairwise, of course). Interestingly, she has some bad yelp reviews from women who feel she has thinned their hair too much. I will go to her until the day I die. I don't live in DC otherwise I would say where, but I think maybe the razor cut is key. Lots of people have used thinning shears on me but my hair has never looked this good.[/quote]
