I'm completely new to this conversational thread.  I was really with you, too, but I don't understand why you turned bitter on people who are surprised to have damage to their cars.  Woe is them?  Sure!  Woe is you? Sure!  I seriously don't get the oppositional approach here.  None of you want to have your tires vandalized by random neighborhood assholes and criminals-in-training, right?
