I don't think you can [b]assume that someone questioning whether this was a hoax or not think the worst[/b] about people who oppose police killing unarmed black people. These protests, while predominantly peaceful, have erupted into horrible violence, and the OP was being prudent. She/he said she was bringing a teenager and old parents.[/quote]

I don't assume that about a person questioning if it's a hoax. I do assume it about someone already has fear and their fears balloon/are validated upon hearing a hoax. The person who researches if its a hoax is being responsible. The person who panics, cancels trips into majority black cities, and spreads the rumor all over social media is not being responsible.[/quote]
