The statistic is actually 10% of babies are born of fathers not married to their mothers. And the word is "cuckolded" the noun / verb is "cuckold" or "to cuckold" Shakespeare, innit.
With dna, why would this be a issue? Are men this stupid?
I don't see how it's about stupid or smart. Babies look like babies. Absent an obvious racial difference, you're not going to see strong family resemblance until later in most cases. Also, family resemblance is not always obvious. My daughter is definitely, 100% her father's daughter, but they look nothing alike. They don't have the same eyes, nose, lips, face shape, hair color, hair texture, etc. and though both both of them are white and Northern European looking, that's where the resemblance ends. As for why it's still an issue with DNA, I would imagine that they don't think they need to do a DNA test, because usually men don't suspect that their spouse is carrying a child they didn't father.
