[/quote] No more than non-Jews naming their kids Levi or Asher, which are "in" names these days. Shoshana is a pretty name. I am Jewish and would assume the child to be either Jewish or evangelical Christian. But in this day and age it wouldn't be terribly surprising to find out she was neither. I am Jewish with a non-Jewish name (Katherine) and it has not been a problem. I get some questioning looks at synagogue and that's about it. I imagine it would work similarly in reverse for a non-Jewish child with a Jewish name.[/quote]
