It's not my business.  It's not my kid.  That mom is now free to bask in the glory of being The Rockin' Cool Mom who got her daughter a huge tattoo for her 17th birthday.  I hope that the girl is happy with her choice and loves her new tattoo. [/quote]

It's not necessarily about being the cool mom.   My friend took her daughter (she was 19 though) to get tattoos.  Both of them.   They honored my friend's dad who had just passed away, and who her daughter had been extraordinarily close to.   [/quote]
