I don't seem to understand today's development of Cruz and Kasich forming alliance to stop Trump. Kasich is giving up Indiana, and Cruz is ceding Oregon and New Mexico to Kasich. Shouldn't Cruz be doing well in Oregon and New Mexico? They are bordering the heartland states that he was winning? Indiana being close to Ohio and Michigan should be a Kasich territory? It's too little too late.
Have you ever been to any of those states? Oregon is not an evangelical sort of place. It's more socially liberal and I can see why Cruz would give it up. Also New Mexico is not the same as Oklahoma or Texas. It has a different "vibe" that is also less evangelical, a bit more artsy and less of a Cruz place. Indiana, OTOH, is more conservative and more of a Cruz kind of place. Just because Indiana is close to Ohio and Michigan does not mean it is the same place.
