Have the doctor consider whether he has torticolis.  This might be why he's only looking one direction.  If so, you should do some neck exercises to help him loosen the muscles.

Babies are funny at this age.  I wouldn't read too much into it.  Talk with your doctor at the next appointment, or call now and ask.  It's also very hard to judge your own baby.  I was very dismissive of what my baby was doing, and other people told me, "Oh, he's looking at you!"  I really didn't see it for some reason.  I expected him to look at me differently, I guess.  Baby's eyes are developed like older kids' or adults' eyes, so they do look a bit different.[/quote]
