I have no idea what OP brings to the table, but my husband got a great deal from me. I work hard, have a $200k income, and have carried his children. $10k was a great investment in a happy life. [/quote]

Well that's a matter of perspective. The kind of guy who takes it upon himself to spend $10k on a ring with no pressure doesn't mind a certain amount of spoiledness in a wife. Also, makes enough money that a $10k purchase doesn't ruin his quarter.  And with that comes the benefits. [/quote]
