They are both trying to be better than Regal but they are trying in different ways. Arclight is just trying to be a better movie theater-- large screens, limited previews, reserved seats, good food (try the caramel corn!). iPic is trying something different-- serving dinner during the movies (in case you can't go 2 hours without food?), pillows, etc. Also Arclight is a couple dollars more than Regal but iPic is a lot more, unless you are willing to sit in the first 2-3 rows.
