I will mention OP that while our cabinetry is gray, all of our other design choices are pretty traditional. The paint on the wall is a pale silvery white, white quartz, classic white subway tile backsplash, stainless sink, regular maple hardwood floors, and regular white plantation shutters. We wanted our cabinetry to stand out, but we also didn't want to live in a sea of gray, so that color really isn't present anywhere else.

Do what you want, don't ask strangers to make design choices in the home that you have to live in. [/quote]
