Don't try to blame her for her brother's suicide. That's just beyond cruel.
He didn't commit suicide. And who is blaming her? If she was more concerned with her image than helping her family, that is pretty shitty.
The implication is that if she had funded his rehab, he wouldn't be dead. So yeah, that's blame. Why is it her responsibility? Kristin is not exactly from a poor family. Why aren't you asking these same questions of them?
Dude, have you ever tried to get a mentally ill person, particuraly an unmedicated schizophrenic, to agree to hospitalization? I have. It is vitually impossible. The only times in the last 15 years where we have ever gotten my MIL hospitalized/in assisted care/rehab was when the court ordered a hold on her. And for every 4-5 times we called the cops and begged them to take her in on a mental health hold, only once would the cops actually take her in. So in 15 years, MIL has been hospitalized about 10-12 times. None were voluntary, and each typically required 5 welfare checks before she was considered crazy enough to be placed on an involuntary hold. The system is broken and no amount of money will help you.
