The implication is that if she had funded his rehab, he wouldn't be dead. So yeah, that's blame. Why is it her responsibility? Kristin is not exactly from a poor family. Why aren't you asking these same questions of them?
Dude, have you ever tried to get a mentally ill person, particuraly an unmedicated schizophrenic, to agree to hospitalization? I have. It is vitually impossible. The only times in the last 15 years where we have ever gotten my MIL hospitalized/in assisted care/rehab was when the court ordered a hold on her. And for every 4-5 times we called the cops and begged them to take her in on a mental health hold, only once would the cops actually take her in. So in 15 years, MIL has been hospitalized about 10-12 times. None were voluntary, and each typically required 5 welfare checks before she was considered crazy enough to be placed on an involuntary hold. The system is broken and no amount of money will help you.
