Best school overall. So are LAMB, Oyster, other highly regarded schools simply out of the picture?
Oyster doesn't have PK3 at all, so it is out of the picture for PK3. Your likelihood of getting in at the PK4 level, unless you are in bounds OR have a Spanish-dominant child (who can test as a Spanish-dominant child), is pretty much non-existent. LAMB is an option in that there are a certain number of spots in the lottery every year. It's just a very long shot because of the limited number of spots and the large number of applications. As for "other highly regarded schools" for the last couple of years, the number of children in the lottery has been increasing. We are at Cooke and we didn't admit any out of bounds 3 year olds last year. We're not expecting to admit any OOB 3 year olds this year either.
