He just wants to put the blame entirely on you.

Continue your therapy. This guy has destroyed your self-esteem, thus brainwashing you.

W/time and therapy, the day will come when you will be able to see things objectively and realize that he is wrong. And that yes, after a bad break-up you can definitely have a better/more successful relationship.

But first, you need to heal yourself.
