This is the crux of it.  (And sometimes why traditional marriages work more smoothly...)  No one wants to be carrying deadweight.  Whenever folks argue that "women don't want  their DH to be SAHD/want an alpha, etc." I think NO, what women don't want is a crap SAHD!

Yep, my fiancé is a teacher so he manages the household in the summer to give me a break (I'm also a teacher, but work fewer hours). He's awesome at it. Better than me in fact. If I could make enough for him to SAH, I'd do it in a heartbeat. He ironed sh*t I didn't even know got ironed.[/quote]
