[b]It sounds like OP is specifically interested in adopting and has done quite a bit of research.  I'm sure she's aware of how difficult the road can be.  Even if she were interested in having a child through pregnancy, I would hardly recommend your approach.  There are many sperm banks available that will provide screening, no risks of STDs, and no legal entanglements with a biological father.
