At 13 months, how much food could he even be eating? It sounds like he is on his curve. I do worry about my son's eating, but that's because he's an older kid who is heavier than he is tall and has a bit of a belly on him. He also spends too much time playing video games.
Today for breakfast was scrambled eggs, wheat toast, fruit. I sent lunch to the nanny share which will be a good sized portion of a black bean, tomato, squash saute with a little chicken mixed in. Plus side of fruit. Dinner will be leftover whole wheat pasta with sauce and chicken, side veg or fruit. Plus snacks at the nanny share, likely cheese stick, banana, wheat crackers. He can pack it in.
OP, my oldest ate like this and still does. When I had a second child who was more of a light eater, I thought something was wrong with her. I mentioned it to my ped. I'm lucky if she eats a real meal once every 2 days. Ped said there is a wide range of normal. On some level, be grateful and hope it continues. What I now realize is that having a hearty eater is a lot less stressful than having one of these picky kids who you have to beg to eat anything at all.
