[/quote] Not that poster, but American cuisine is very regional. Coastal seafood -- New England clam chowder and Maryland Blue Crab. Other stuff built around available meats and vegetables -- Southern Fried Chicken, squash and corn from Native Americans, Cajun dishes, etc. Apples have always been huge. Apple pies, apple butter. And of course stuff inspired by various immigrant groups. And don't forget scrapple. lol[/quote]
