How about all the mom's who think it brilliant to bring babies to baseball games when it is 90 degrees out and 110% humidity. Simmering a baby seems like a great idea.
Yes, it's a bad idea for people who live in tropical countries to have babies, unless they also have air conditioning. Or something.
Also, add that fact that most are wearing the babies on the front of them - God forbid (seriously) a fly ball hits them -- people get hurt every year. I think taking babies/kids to games is great. But I would not take them on a really hot day. Why torture the baby.
God forbid (seriously) a fly ball hits me. Then my baby will be an orphan. Nobody with children should go to a baseball game. Right?
Side note _ friend got hit in the face at an O's game by a fly ball. Broke her nose, eye sockets, and jaw. She had to have several reconstructive surgeries over 18 months and she looks NOTHING like she did prior to the accident. I honestly never knew how often getting hit happened - apparently it is on the waiver agreement on the back of the ticket. Doesn't stop me from going but I do pay attention.
