This is mine experience. Tried for 8 months, similar age, good health, regular periods. Under your same advise, we went to Shady Groove. Did all the studies, got diagnosed with "unexplained infertility". They started pushing for un IVF right away. In a big way! We were seeing DrWidra and he said IUI had a greater chance for teins so we should do IVF with one embryo. We were paying everything out of picket and I wanted to be sure about te decision. Before hitting the 1 anda half year mark, we were expecting withot any intervention. We just needed more time and more frequent intercourse. If they find a problem, going earlier is great because you did not waste anytime. But, even if they do not find anything wrong with you, they will tell you to do a treatment. It is a business and they want your money. However, sometimes nature takes its time andapparently the cut off is 1 and a half years of trying when tee is no indication of a problem.
I used Widra too and had an "unexplained" diagnosis at 35. But I was never pushed to do IVF. I had two successful pregnancies with IUI plus meds. SG is a factory, no doubt. But most infertility practices are.
