I wouldn't bother confronting your inlaws. SIL is a catty bitch and that won't change. Like others said, just shut down the gossip mill, and then you don't have to worry about it. Of course, you'll always have a niggling worry that things are not as pleasant as they appear on the surface, but really, who cares, as long as you can all get along most of the time. Getting to the bottom of whatever criticisms they may have is not worth the years of drama that will likely ensue.[/quote]
