Every year teachers told us our child does fine with structure and a teacher with good classroom management skills. Every year I asked and was told they do not think we need to try meds. My child does well in school. This one development pediatrician got it in her head that we needed to medicate because medication worked wonders for her children. Perhaps she didn't like that after waiting a full hour and a half in the waiting room, our child was antsy and hungry. She even put a recommendation for medication in her report.[/quote]
